About Your Username

Microsoft's MyAccount Portal

Microsoft's MyAccount portal allows you to change your Abertay password at any time or reset it if you've forgotten it, using your mobile phone number and/or a personal email address to prove who you are.

We recommend that you register both an email address and your mobile phone. For the best experience we suggest that you download Microsoft Authenticator from your phone's app store and set it up in addition to the other methods. This gives the best experience, both for resetting your password and multi-factor authentication, where you need to prove your identity when logging in to some University services.

Usernames should always include @uad.ac.uk for any Microsoft services. Remember to update all of your devices (eg. phones, tablets) with your new password.
